Carnal Peaks
Carnal Peaks is an improvised soap opera by the genius that is Los Angeles TheatreSports (or, as they're now known, Impro Theatre). This week's show, starring my former instructors Brian Lohmann and Tracy Burns, plus Robert Covarrubias, Lisa Fredrickson, Edi Patterson, Dan O'Connor, and Michele Spears, was howlingly funny--Keith Johnson agreed wholeheartedly. We really enjoyed not only the show, but getting to spend some quality time with the cast and crew after the show. This all took place at ACME (135 N. LaBrea Ave., Hollywood).

The View Taping
How awesome! We got hooked up with a VIP taping of The View compliments of Subhash Mandal. He used to do standup in NY with Joy Bahar, so he was able to get us in her VIP area and, from what I hear, Keith Johnson and I both were on camera at some point. Tee hee! The show taped at ABC (320 W. 66th St., New York) and the guests were Tyra Banks and Nellie Furtado. I'm looking forward to reruns so I can try and catch it. No, of course I didn't set the TiVo for it before we left for New York. Duh!

Perfect Staged Reading
In order to hear Perfect aloud and better prepare myself for the casting process to follow, I scheduled a staged reading among some amazing actor friends I know. Linda Palmer and Scott Ritchie rented the large theatre at The Complex (6476 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood) for this little event, with Fred Goss, Pamela Newlands, Ty Rushing, David Ury, Kathryn Joosten, Scott Vance, DeAnna Brooks, Bill Lippincott, Keith Johnson, Christopher Winsor, Sidney Franklin, and Jonathan Spencer. It was wonderful to hear the script for the first time. I think we may have found some of our cast members. Breakdowns go out on the rest of the roles this week!

All Ivy Comedy
at the Improv with Keith Johnson, Eitan Loewenstein, Evan, and Mitchell Fink. We saw Faith Salie, Lesley Wolff, Daley Hagger, Sara Silverman, David Spade. There's more. I'll have to look it up.
